A little bit about Joyce:
In 2019, Joyce was interviewed at Tribes 131 in Norman, Oklahoma, for the Oklahoma Travel Road Show on television. Having previously been featured in the Tribes 131 Calendar in 2018 and 2019, Joyce achieved another milestone by landing the coveted cover spot for the 2020 edition. Her journey as an artist continues to unfold, leaving an indelible mark on the art world and captivating audiences with her unique talent and inspiring story.
Since her first solo show at the Southern Plains Indian Museum in Anadarko,
Oklahoma, in 2017, Joyce has gained a devoted following, attracted fans, and garnered the attention of collectors who appreciate her remarkable talent. She has received diverse requests, from creating large canvas paintings for patrons in Southwest Oklahoma to crafting a hand drum for display at the Santa Fe Indian Market. This notable project involved incorporating the organization's trademark red into her design, symbolizing the resiliency and empowerment of Native American women.
